The double wall shell & tube fin plate HEX builds upon the experience gained from traditional S&T HEX and PHE, combining the best of both worlds. This leads to an ultra-compact and efficient design, inherited from PHE’s, with the robustness, strength, and integrity of a Shell & Tube unit. In some cases, this type of HEX is also cheaper than a standard S&T HEX, due to the impoved thermal efficiency and production methods.

These types of heat exchanger are typically custom designed for a series production for a specific project.
